Pictures
from my trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, in January 2008. It is rather
nice to go someplace where it's 82 degrees and breezy when it's 40
degrees at home. I wholeheartedly recommend taking vacations to
tropical locales during the winter!
Some pictures of the town of Playa del Carmen
Quinta Avenida (5th Avenue), the main touristy part of town

Wal-Mart in Mexico. Ugh
Mechanic shop
This is someone's house. It's not very visible, but there is laundry on the line right outside
Another house. This is in stark contrast to the touristy area, where everything is nice and clean

Paradise!

The ruins of the Mayan city of Tulum
The view from the cliff where the city resides
I don't particulary like this picture of me, but it is proof that I was there

An iguana enjoying the weather. They were all over the place in Mexico.
Xel-Ha
(pronounced Shell-Ha), an Eco-Park. Basically this is what Disney tries
to achieve with there themed waterparks, except it's all real

Some pictures around the little hotel I stayed at, Aqualuna Hotel.
